I enjoy listening to old time radio shows and, although largely ignorant in the field, am intrigued by the relative simplicity and seeming magic of radios. The idea of a small box that can project sounds and voices from far away is romantic in the extreme.
I have a relative who has been into ham radio for as long as I’ve been alive. As a child, I remember visiting his house and listening on his radio set to people from far away, from other continents, in fact.
I have never gotten into ham radio, but it has always been on the periphery of my attention and interest, and perhaps some day I will delve into that world.
